A Speedy Digital Makeover
Design, copy, development, and launch in under a month, with two days to spare before code freeze.
Project Overview
Resy came to us with a problem. Their website redesign with another agency had stalled, the creative wasn't landing with leadership, and a code freeze was four weeks away. They needed a new B2B site live before that deadline. They also had a brand evolution in flight that needed to be reflected in whatever we built.
The Audience
Restaurant owners and managers. The site's job was to make the value of Resy's operating system immediately clear and to capture demo requests from operators evaluating their options.
The Shift
The previous site had been built in the voice of a tech platform. Resy's brand was evolving toward something warmer. A partnership with the restaurant industry rather than a product sold into it. We rewrote the positioning and tone to match, and designed the site around stories of actual operators, not screenshots of software.
Our Approach
We ran the project as a single compressed sprint. Homepage design and copy were locked in week one. The full site followed. The existing visual identity was updated with new photography and refreshed copy throughout. Development ran in parallel with design finalization.
Results
The site launched two days before the code freeze. Demo requests, unique visits, time on page, and SEO scores all improved significantly. Leadership called out the brand positioning shift as the most important thing the project accomplished. Resy moved us to a retainer and appointed us their agency of record for B2B.
Conclusion
Speed and quality aren't opposites. The project worked because we held both standards at once, and because Resy trusted us to make calls in real time.
